What does it cost?

There are three grades of membership:

Individual membership: £28.00 per annum
Family memberhip: £33.00 per annum
Corporate/Overseas Membership: £35.00 per annum

The Gift Aid system allows the Trevithick Society to reclaim the tax on a gift from a UK taxpayer, and add it to the value of the gift. If you make a Gift Aid declaration to the Trevithick Society, we can reclaim the tax on every gift you make while you are a UK taxpayer. There are many advantages of joining the Trevithick Society.

Becoming a member of the Trevithick Society will open up the fascinating history of Cornwall’s industrial past and explain why it has had such an impact on economies around the World.

As a member you will receive our annual publication The Journal of the Trevithick Society. This expertly researched Journal contains in excess of 100 pages covering a diverse range of topics. In addition a regular quarterly colour newsletter is published covering recent news and topics of interest and sent to all members.

Throughout the year the Society hosts lectures on a range of topics at its centres at King Edward Mine near Camborne and The Public Hall in Liskeard. All lectures are free to members.

The Society’s Annual General Meeting, which includes organised field trips, is also open to all members. If you are visiting Cornwall then as a member you will also benefit from free entry to: (on production of a valid membership card).

Trevithick Society members are entitled to a 10% reduction on orders from Tor Mark Press.

Want to get involved? The Trevithick Society is always looking for volunteers to help with its many digital and online projects, restoration, archiving and promotional activities. Positions will be advertised from time to time for people with specific skill sets and interests. You can also volunteer without waiting for posts to be advertised. If you have any enquiries regarding membership please contact the Membership Secretary. An online membership form is available on this website and also a downloadable PDF document and a Direct Debit Mandate, but please note these need to be printed, completed and sent to the Membership Secretary with your remittance. If you cannot print the form we will gladly send you one.
